The whole system is one sentence: rank is total dollars committed. Everything below is a consequence of that.

How is rank decided?

Rank is total dollars committed to a listing. Nothing else counts — no votes, no recency boost, no editorial pick. The listing with the highest total is the snake's head.

What does it cost to get on the board?

$5 for a listing that is not on the board yet. After that, a raise can be as small as $1. Whole dollars only, up to $999,999 per transaction.

I am already listed. Do I pay the full amount again?

No. Submitting the same URL adds to the total you have already paid, so climbing only ever costs you the difference.

Two listings have the same total. Who wins?

The older listing. Getting there first is worth something, so a tie never demotes an existing listing.

What does the snake actually show?

The body is the board, head first. The head is #1, the cell behind it is #2, and so on. Bigger bids are drawn as longer stretches of body, so the board's shape reflects where the money is.

What links are not allowed?

Chat and DM invites — Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord and the like. Tracking parameters are stripped from every URL before it is stored, so the board links to destinations rather than campaigns.

Are bids refundable?

No. A bid buys a position on a public board and takes effect immediately. Being outbid later is the game working as intended, not a fault.

Do the click counts mean anything?

They are real. Every outbound link is counted, so you can see what a position is actually delivering before you decide to raise.
